KATE SONDERS SOLOMON

Kate is a cooking instructor living in the Rivertowns of Westchester, 20 miles north of New York City. She provides a relaxed, hands-on cooking experience for adults and children of all ages. Kate strongly believes that cooking fosters connection among people to create a healthy working environment.

Prior to teaching cooking classes, Kate worked as a cheesemaking apprentice at Sprout Creek Farm in Poughkeepsie, NY, and as a researcher on Molly O’Neill’s cookbook One Big Table. She began her culinary career post-college as a cook at Rialto Restaurant in Cambridge, MA. In addition to teaching cooking and developing culinary curricula for afterschool programs, Kate is a co-founder and producer of Rivertown Public Market, an annual open-air food festival in Westchester.

Kate is also an avid cake and tart enthusiast.
