College Shower 2021 Girls Inc. girls are heading to college in the fall, and they need your help! Many of the girls we serve live in underserved and underrepresented communities and will be first-generation college students. It has been our tradition to shower our college-bound Girls Inc. seniors with love, congratulations, and college essentials at our annual College Shower. This year the Coronavirus pandemic impacted our ability to raise the necessary funds to purchase computers, books, supplies, and dorm essentials for our girls. Please contribute to our Virtual College Shower Registry and help us show our girls we've got their backs, their futures are bright, and we want them to succeed.
About Girls Inc. of Westchester County
Established in 2007, Girls Inc. of Westchester County inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Girls Inc. of Westchester County delivers girls-only programming in a safe and nurturing environment through our in-school and after-school program partners, in community centers and youth bureaus throughout Westchester County. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Girls Inc. has pivoted to provide a safe space online for these teens to be able to cope with their new realities, providing critical social interaction opportunities, guidance and outlets that ensure that our participants can continue to find and use their voice, while we look ahead to continue providing our girls-only programs at schools throughout Westchester County to help girls navigate the real-life challenges they confront during middle and high school and lay the groundwork for educated, healthy, and independent futures.
