The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we interact. Schools are are on hybrid schedules and social distancing is mandated. The lack of in-person contact has meant that many non-profit organizations, like Girls Inc. of Westchester County, have had to alter the way they deliver services and programs.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Girls Inc Westchester staff has done incredible work in shifting their approach to virtual programming and they didn't miss a beat!  In the last months of school and over the summer, the Girls Inc girls participated in engaging and meaningful programs and will again with the start of this school year.

I have seen first hand how truly impactful Girls Inc. of Westchester is on the lives of the girls they serve.  Girls Inc. gives girls opportunities for experiences they otherwise would not have through educational enrichment & SAT prep programs, leadership development, confidence-building, STEM, and so much more. 

A significant portion of the funding for Girls Inc. is achieved through their annual gala held in April of each year. This year the annual gala was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, however, the social, emotional, and educational needs of the girls they serve remain.
